The Student Code Alliance (SCA) presents the Sustain-a-thon, our 2nd annual hackathon, which unites students, coders, and environmental enthusiasts to innovate for a sustainable planet. The Student Code Alliance (SCA) is a non-profit organization mobilizing our youth to create socially-impactful software. Whether you’re passionate about clean energy, recycling, or climate action, this event invites you to use your creativity and coding skills to make a real difference. Sustainathon is open to everyone - both new and experienced developers - and especially welcomes members of the SCA community to collaborate, learn, and build for impact.
Participants from around the world work in groups or themselves to create apps, tools, and programs that promote environmental responsibility and sustainability. From tracking carbon footprints to improving waste management, your ideas can help shape a greener future. With interactive workshops and mentorship sessions on our Discord platform and Student Code Alliance website, you’ll get the support you need to grow both technically and personally while working toward meaningful change.
By joining Sustainathon, you’ll connect with like-minded innovators, compete for exciting cash prizes and recognition, and take part in a global movement to sustain our planet through technology. It’s more than a competition - it’s an opportunity to learn, have fun, and make an impact that lasts far beyond the hackathon.
